California girls trip

California girls trip was originally going to be just
me and Suzie going to a PCOS conference and the beach.
But it turned into a awesome girls trip and I am so glad it did!

My Mom and Tausha joined us in the fun! On our drive to CA on Thursday I got a call from Trent telling me he
had been offered a piano tuning job in Kentucky.
I knew about the possibility and we had already discussed
what we would do if he was offered the job.
Trent accepted the job and he would be heading out
to KY the Monday after I got back.

So this would be my last girls trip before moving and I am
SO glad it was turned into a fun girls trip instead of our original plans.

Thursday we drove to Mesquite, NV played a round of bingo, had dinner
and then headed to Primm to spend the night.

Friday we drove straight to Universal Studios and had
a FABULOUS time!

Saturday Suzie and I went to the PCOS conference in the
morning then went to the beach in the afternoon.

After dinner near Knotts berry farm we
went and walked around Downtown Disney, bought a few things
and watched the fireworks!

Then we drove all the way home Sunday!
It was so much fun!

Our story about moving to Indiana

As most of you know we have made a big life decision!
Trent accepted a piano tuning position in Kentucky and we
are moving across the Ohio river from Louisville into Indiana!

We have been struggling for almost two years to figure
out how to make Trent's piano tuning business support us
here in UT and unfortunately we haven't been able to find a way.
Which is what lead us to this decision. We feel very guided by the Lord in moving to Indiana and things have worked out way too well for this to not be right.

That being said I will tell you a little of how this all came to be...

We went to the temple Tuesday, July 21 and felt like we should open
our hearts and minds to looking for a job outside of UT.
We came home that evening and looked on the
PTG (Piano tuners guild) website and found and applied to four jobs. One in KY, one in WY, one in WA
and I can't remember where the last one was located.
While Trent was applying for jobs the KY one stuck out to
both of us and we both felt the spirit whisper that this one might be it.

The next morning (July 22) Trent received an email from
Matt (The owner of the store hiring) asking him
questions and asking Trent to call him. Trent immediately called him and he had a phone interview that I was listening to the whole time. When Trent hung up we both knew that he was going to get the job and that we needed to move there. That evening Trent talked to one of Matt's other tuners, Wade, about what it was really like working
for Matt and what the pay was. Trent said the conversation went really well and he again felt like that is where we were supposed to be.

The next day (July 23) I was heading to California with my
Mom, Suzie and Tausha when Trent called me.

Trent told me that Wade had been killed in an car
accident that morning! My heart aches for this mans family, he left behind a wife and four children. Matt offered him the
job and wanted him to start ASAP.

After Trent and I talked and Trent talked to Matt it was
decided that he would leave Tuesday to drive out
there, me and the kids would stay here until the
house sold and we could get the money together to move and have somewhere to move to...

I got home Sunday night (July 25) and Trent I had just Monday to do
about 100 things!

Trent left early Tuesday morning (July 26) for Kentucky.
We close on the sale of our home next Friday (Sept 4) which is when
Trent flies in to SLC and then we officially will leave Saturday.(Sept 5)
This has happened so fast but we know it is right and I am SOOOOO ready to be a family again!

Swimming at Caryls!

We love swimming at Caryls pool!
