Independence day!

It was our first real holiday on our own in Indiana.

Trent and I decided we needed to make it fun and keep up

the tradition of BBQ and fireworks!

I made a cute Jello cake and tried to decorate it like a flag.

Trent BBQ some chicken, pork and corn and

it was YUMMY!

We played with glowsticks for a while :)

We shot off fireworks but I totally spaced taking pictures...

We had a great fourth of July and I am

so grateful for the freedoms I have in this country!

Lightening bugs are AMAZING!

We you are born and raised in Utah you don't really understand

how awesome lightening bugs are, seeing that they don't live in Utah.

I love watching them almost every night at dusk, it's like natures Christmas lights!

It dawned on me that my kids had never seen them so Trent and I had

them stay up late the next night and show them and let them catch some!

My kids thought they were as awesome and amazing as I did!

We caught a few, but always let them go after a little bit.

This is seriously one of my favorite things about

living in Indiana!

Kynslie is 3!

Zoo splash pad

We finally made it to the zoo splash pad

and to say it was a hit is an understatement!

We played there for a good 2 hours and then

it was getting too hot and time for lunch so we left.

They had so much fun!
