I decided on day 4
of the first week of fall break
that I wanted to
go on a road trip
to see Nicole and
take my kids the Washington DC.
So we loaded up in
the car Friday morning and drove
to Virginia in
one day :) It is about a 10 hour drive.
We arrived Friday
evening and got settled in.
Trent joined us
after work and got to Virginia at about 3 am.
The first day we
went into DC and saw a few things. It was super crowded
because they were
holding an event for the
20 year
anniversary of the Million-man march.
We saw WW2
Memorial, Washington Monument, Iwo Jima,
the White House,
Lincoln Memorial,
Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
We then fought
traffic back to Nicoles house, ate dinner and just visited.
Day 2 of our trip
was Sunday, Trent left that morning to go back to work,
the kids and I
just hung out and visited with Nicole for the
rest of the day.
