Christmas!

Christmas day was pretty
low key for us!

First we got up at our normal time
and tried explaining to Owen that
Santa had come.
He didn't really get it until
he saw his stocking and gifts.

Owen got a WAY TOO cute
Monster (Knitted by my amazingly talented sister Marci)
and a Leaptop computer from Santa.

Livvy got a play
camera from Santa :)

After opening their stocking gifts
we went to church and it
was amazing!
I really wish Christmas was
on Sunday every year!
It makes me remember what
Christmas is all about!
The music and meeting were
amazing!

After church we came home
opened our gifts and then the
kids went down for a nap.

Trent's big gift this year
was a new coat and
mine was a pressure cooker which I LOVE!!!

I do want to mention he had his mom
make me a shirt that says
"I "Picture of a heart" Nerds"
*giggle giggle*
It's been our little joke since we
got married that I am so in love with my nerd!

After the kids got up from their naps
Grammy and Grandpa
Kohleen and
Dawn and Jim
came for a very simple lunch and
they brought gifts for us.

My favorite is the awesome Nativity set that Dawn got
for our family in Israel!
It is so beautiful and is made out of olive tree wood.


After everyone left we sat as our little family
at the piano and sang some
Christmas songs.
Then everyone went to
bed!

It was such a wonderful day!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas eve was a very

busy day for us!

First Trent went and got the girls at
8 am then we had Christmas with them.


Then at 1pm we went and made cookies for Santa at
Dawns house and then we just hung out and
talked with Trent's side of the family.


Then we stopped by Grammy and Grandpas
for a minute so they could see the girls.

Then we went to my parents church
for the rest of the evening.

We played games and piano...



Ate dinner... (Cafe rio type salad with pies for desert)


My mom did a fish pond for the grandkids
and they LOVED it!



Played some volley ball...



Then to end the night all the
grandkids put on the play
"A night before Christmas"



We opened our gifts from my parents and
then everyone went home to wait for Santa!

Trent had to take the girls to Bountiful
so I took our kids home and had
our kids hang stockings and put
them to bed.

Bessies 6th birthday party!

Can you believe Bessie is 6!
Crazy girl!

We love this kid! She has such a zest for life and I love
her reactions to her gifts.



She opened up her gift from
Grandma Dawn and this is what she said :)

"Oh yeah this is just was I was expecting!:)"
(Which she hadn't asked for but it was awesome!)




We just got together at our house for
Cake and Ice Cream.
I made her a strawberry cake.

At 7 months...

• Wears 3-6 month clothes
• Wears size 1-2 diapers
• Weighs 14lbs 2 oz
  
• Love bouncing in her jumper!
• Follows me around everywhere!
• Can climb one stair
• Loves people!
• (She is so easy to take care of when she is around lots of people, which I like since Owen didn't like anyone but me and Trent until he was almost 2!)
• Loves to talk to herself in the mirror
• Sleeps through the night as long as I nurse her at like 10pm
• Wants to be held ALL the time when we are at home
• She had her first sick visit with the doctor :( (She got croup)
• She likes watching Owen play
• She can wave Hi
• She talks a lot and loves to make the "ga" sound
• She smiles all the time!

My talented Sister!

My sister Marci makes my

kids some of the cutest things I have ever seen!

She made Livvy these Monster pants and her
awesome hat! She made Owen some too when he was about
her age but for today I will focus on Livvys creations :)

First real solids!

Livvy had her first taste of solids about
2 weeks ago and she
HATED it!
I fed her some homemade butternut squash
baby food and she cried about it as
attested to in the pictures below.

We have tried 3 more times since
to feed her solids and every-time
she cried and threw a
huge fit. So I guess we will take a break
for a few weeks and then try again.

Christmas Parade!

Last Saturday December 3rd

My little family and Suzie's family
and Marci's family
went with my Mom to
downtown Provo for a Christmas Parade.




It was SOOOO cold! We found a spot and
shortly after the parade started but
all that was coming were golf carts
throwing out candy for the kids.

After about 30 mins of golf carts I decided that
it was time to pack up my babies and go to my Moms house
to wait for the parade to be done.

After the parade was over we had pizza and
ice cream at my Moms house with everyone.

Honestly the parade was pretty lame but the
company was AWESOME so it made up for it :)

Gingerbread fest '11 :0)

Today we did our annual
gingerbread house making!
Jenna and I did the baking of the
houses yesterday at her house
and then took the houses
to Dawns to decorate them.


The kids had so much fun!
But they also had a lot of fun playing outside with
Clay and Madeline's dogs.
I'm still not sure which one they had more fun doing :)


This year was Owen and Ashley's first year
to do their own houses
and both of them had fun but Ashley got
into it more than Owen.





And of course Jenna and I
had to out Lacey and Livvy in
matching outfits :)





I am definitely worn out but it
is all worth it in the end.
Seeing our kids cute faces and knowing
we are making great memories with them!

Happy 6 month birthday Livvy!

Can you believe that she is 6 months old already!
CRAZINESS!

I took Livvy to the doctor today and here are her stats

Weight - 13.78 LBS - 10%
Height - 24.5 IN - 11%
Head - 16.5 IN - 33%

So we have a tiny little girl on our hands
but she is super busy!
The doctor complimented Livvy today and said that
she developmentally and motor skills wise is at
a 8-10month old :)
She is our little smarty and mover!

At 6 months Livvy...

• Army crawls with perfection and is a fast little squirt!
• Gets up on her hands and knees about a third of the time to crawl.
• Wears size 1-2 diapers
• Mostly 3-6 month clothes but still quite a few 0-3 month clothes
• She does this cute little cough/laugh when she is happy
• She loves to eat her feet and hands all the time!
• Is a pro at getting anything she wants to her mouth.
• She has tried her first biter biscuit and she LOVES it!

• She loves people!
• She has a huge smile!
• She loves to watch Owen play.
• She wants to be held all the time.

Happy Halloween!

Owen had an interesting Halloween this year...
I wasn't sure if I could even get him to wear a costume but as the pictures will testify he did actually wear a costume! I told him it was a cow jacket and that made him really want to wear it!

Before we went trick or treating Owen treated me and Livvy with singing us some primary songs! It was so stinking cute!
His current favorite primary songs to sing are
I am like a star
and
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

After some songs we got in the car
and headed to trick or treat with Jenna and her kids.

The first house we went to they weren't home but
had suckers out in a dish and some halloween lights
and Owen kept saying "I'm ok, I'm ok" over and over again.

Then the next house we went to the guy had a scary mask on and Owen
started bawling and saying "I'm ok, I'm ok, it's scary, I'm ok, I'm ok"
He kept crying and saying "I'm ok" for like 10 minutes, then he realized that he was getting candy and decided he liked trick or treating :)

Cornbelly fun!

We had so much fun at Cornbellys!
We went with some friends from the
ward and Owen had a blast!



He loved the cow train, the bounce houses, the slides,
the jumping pillows, but I think his favorite was the huge hay slides!

All about Owen!

My posts lately seem to be a lot about Livvy so
here is one about my handsome boy OWEN!

Fun facts about Owen-

• He is an expert at navigating my iphone :)
• His favorite show is Go Diego Go
• He now likes to call people without my permission
• He calls my Mom "Grandma Horna" I love it! :)
• He loves to wear his squeaky shoes
• He can sing lots of songs and his favorites are as follows and in this order
• Wheel on the "Dus" Bus
• Follow the Prophet
  
• Itsy bitsy spider
• If you're happy and you know it...
• Popcorn popping on the apricot tree

• Owen pretends to burp and then says "excuse me"
• Every morning when I get Owen up he says "Hello Mommy, I wake up!" (with a huge grin on his face :)
• Once again every morning he climbs up on the side of Livvys crib and looks at Livvy and says "Morning Baby girl! Love you Iffy!"
• He calls Livvy "Iffy"
• He says Livvy is his baby :)
• He "Helps" Livvy do the actions to wheels in the bus
  

We are so in love with our Owen!

Happy 5 month birthday Livvy!

My little Livvy is 5 months now!
It has gone by WAY too fast!

At 5 months she is

• Mostly wearing 0-3 month clothes with a few 3-6month clothes thrown in.
• She is still in size 1 diapers.
• Two days ago she got up on her hands and knees and started rocking back and forth (She so should not be doing this!)
• She can sit by herself for about 30 seconds.
• She is ticklish (LOVE THIS! Owen is not ticklish at all so this is so fun!)
• She is a good napper in her bed.
• She rolls EVERYWHERE!
  
• She scoots a lot now.

All in all we are so in love with our Livvy!

For my Mom birthday she requested

unfortunately Bradyn (the oldest (19) ) couldn't get out of work
But everyone else was there!

I couldn't believe how well all the kids did seeing
as there were like a ton of kids 5 and under.

Livvy is 4 Months!!!

I seriously can not believe
how fast 4 months have FLOWN by!

My Little Livvy is now 4 months old
TODAY!
We went to the doctor today and here are her stats :)

Weight - 12.4 LBS 25%
Height - 23.5 IN 23%
Head - 16CM 40%

• Livvy is a very proficient roller
  
• She can scoot a little.
• She still wears size 1 diapers
• She is still in 0-3 month clothes
• She LOVES her feet!
• She is a HUGE smiler!
• She is very social and loves to be talked to and held.
• She is a pretty awesome, laid back baby until her Smith temper comes out!
• She for sure has a Smith temper! She can go from completely content to really really mad in 0.5 seconds.

Motorcycles!

Owen loves motorcycles and last saturday
he finally got to ride one with his
Grandpa and Grandma Smith!

Oh my how he loved it! He is still talking about it!

Liberty Park

We had the opportunity to hang out with one

of my favorite little girls in the world!

Owen asks to go see May-May about once a week and this past week
we got to meet up with her and my sister in law Tausha
at Liberty Park!
I took my niece Rachel with me
because her and Mabel were/are
best friends and hung out all the time
when I was Mabel and Bryces Nanny :)
