Broken Power Line

It was a very eventful Monday on September 23.

The power line in front of the house broke into 3 pieces, dumped hazardous oil

all over our yard and we have powerlines hanging on the house and in the back yard. 

Needless to say we aren't sure when it will be safe to go back home. The firemen evacuated us and 

I am guessing it will be a few days before the power is back on.

Update: Kids are super excited to have a sleep over with cousins!

We stayed at Jenna's house for the night.

I was able to get stuff out of our house about 6pm and found out that the

oil wasn't hazardous and we can go home tomorrow!

So the story behind the spill is that they were repaving 1700 N

and a dump truck forgot to put down its back and ended up knocking down 9 powerlines in total!

We were with out power for a little over 24 hours and then it came back on.

The company that caused the problems replaced my moms front yard and it 

turned out really nice!

The landscaping company told my kids that they could

play on the excavator and they were in heaven, especially Lewis!

Lewis LOVED watching all the construction!

You really should experience construction through Lewis' eyes!
